Spice Up Your Life at the Doddridge Co. Fair Jr. Miss Pageant

August 21, 2007

7:00 pm

1.      Contestants must be a resident of Doddridge County.

2.       Contestants must be 13 years old by August 1, and not have reached the age of 16 until after August 30, 2007.

3.       Six applicants are needed to hold the Jr. Miss Pageant, otherwise it will be cancelled. (Minimum of 6)

4.      A dressy knee length dress is required for the pageant, but not for rehearsals. This dress must not be longer than 4 inches below the knee.

5.      To register for the pageant, contestants must submit a $35 (nonrefundable) entry

6.      Pageant contestants will meet August 3, 7:00 pm at the Doddridge Co. Park Pavilion next to the pool to discuss plans for the pageant. Parents please attend this meeting. Rehearsal schedule will be passed out at this meeting. This is mandatory!

7.      Pictures for the pageant program will be taken at this meeting.

8.      We will be on a tight schedule and contestants must be present for ALL rehearsals. (Planned vacations and camps are exceptions, but it will be the responsibility of the contestant to learn all routines by the night of the pageant.)

9.      All rules must be followed or contestants will be subject to disqualification.

10.  Contestants will be judged on dress wear, street wear, and on stage interview.

11.  The responsibility of the Fair Jr. Miss is to have an active part in the fair activities and crowning her successor at the 2008 Doddridge Co. Fair. It is mandatory for the Jr. Miss to participate in ALL parades held in the Doddridge County limits. Participating in other local, state parades or festivals is up to the Jr. Miss and her family. The Jr. Miss and her family are responsible for finding parade cars. (We can help!)

12.  In the event that the Fair Jr. Miss moves out of state, her title is then passed to the runner-up.

13.  Complete and final authority for the Doddridge Co. Fair Jr. Miss pageant rests with the pageant directors.

14.  Decision of the judges will be final. Absolutely no information will be released to anyone except the pageant directors.

15.  Failure of these rules by the Jr. Miss will lead to the removal of her crown and title.

16.  Contestants are required to open for the Talent Show on Wednesday August 22, 2007. They will perform their opening dance number.

17.  Rules and information concerning the night of the pageant will be passed out at the August 3 meeting.
